Saw V vs High School Musical 3! Where Do You Stand?
October 24th, 2008 is your deadline to decide between seeing Saw V and High School Musical 3!
For whatever reason the people at Disney are either morons or they’re jealous of the weekend that Saw has basically owned every year for the past 3 years. Like literally, the weekend before Halloween IS Saw weekend every year. Regardless of the reason, they’ve decided to release High School Musical 3, the first HSM film to hit theaters, on the same day as Saw V!
Now while Saw movies always dominate the box office, HSM 3 may pose quite a threat. It IS the Saw weekend, but there are tons and tons of people that will be going to see HSM 3 as well. We can only hope that since alot of that audience is younger, they may not all go the opening weekend and Saw V will be able to shoot to the top of the box office. If HSM 3 beats it, it’ll ruin the box office streak that the Saw films have every year. Laaaaame.
If you are going to see Saw V and think HSM sucks, then this has nothing to do with you obviously haha. This is for people who like both and plan on seeing both! I’m one of those people but I’ll definitely be seeing Saw V first, of course. Try to tell everyone you know that wants to see both to see Saw V first and let HSM 3 wait until a few days later or something! I’m sure any Saw fan would like to see Saw be at the top of the box office again this year, like it should be! x]
